Parker Ingenuity Soars at Scottsdale Pen

Happy New Year!

We're off to a flying start for 2012 with the Parker Ingenuity leading the way. Certainly curiosity has driven some sales of the Ingenuity, but there have been a number of repeat purchasers, too, indicating a high level of satisfaction with the writing experience.

We must stress that this is not a fountain pen, nor is it meant to persuade loyal fountain pen users to switch. This is a new, patent pending ink delivery system more akin to a fiber tip from a refill similar to a rollerball housed in a shell that looks like a fountain pen. The tip itself is thermoplastic with noticeable flex and a smooth, dark delivery. Parker tells us that these refills will not leak when flying, and the tip will not flatten or push in either.

Parker 5th Technology Now at Scottsdale Pen

Scottsdale Pen is pleased to announce the arrival of the Parker Ingenuity featuring the all-new 5th Technology.

There has been little innovation in the pen world since the introduction of the rollerball in the 1970's giving us all four modes of writing - fountain, ballpoint, fiber tip, and rollerball.
After intensive consumer research, Parker has combined the best features of those four technologies to give us the 5th Technology.

The Parker Ingenuity is a specially designed line of pens that mimic the look of a fountain pen while employing a 5th Technology refill. This breakthrough refill has a thermoplastic tip that lays down ink that is dark and fast drying. The tip is also flexible and adjusts to the owners' writing style without worries about mashing down, pushing in, or leaking.

Scottsdale Pen is one of only four U.S. retailers chosen to roll out this innovation through the end of 2011.
