Sherpa Announces Year of the Dragon

The makers of the popular Sherpa pen shell announced today the upcoming Limited Edition Year of the Dragon Sherpa. Only 888 pieces will be released worldwide to commemorate the 2012 Chinese Year of the Dragon.

The body of the pen will feature green dragon scales while all trim will be in black. A dragon logo will appear on the clip and a serial number will be on the cap band. These will sell for $39.95 and we expect sales to be brisk.

Parker Ingenuity Soars at Scottsdale Pen

Happy New Year!

We're off to a flying start for 2012 with the Parker Ingenuity leading the way. Certainly curiosity has driven some sales of the Ingenuity, but there have been a number of repeat purchasers, too, indicating a high level of satisfaction with the writing experience.

We must stress that this is not a fountain pen, nor is it meant to persuade loyal fountain pen users to switch. This is a new, patent pending ink delivery system more akin to a fiber tip from a refill similar to a rollerball housed in a shell that looks like a fountain pen. The tip itself is thermoplastic with noticeable flex and a smooth, dark delivery. Parker tells us that these refills will not leak when flying, and the tip will not flatten or push in either.

Acme Beatles November Release is Here

Scottsdale Pen is pleased to announce the Acme Beatles releases for November, 2011 have arrived and those include 1964, 1965, Rubber Soul, Help, and Beatles for Sale. The "year" pens are produced in editions equal to the number of the year and sell for $98, while the "record album" pen and card case sets are limited to only 1000 pieces at $130. The "record album" sets are sold out at the warehouse, so when our allotment is gone there are no more to offer.

The Acme Beatles series is the first numbered limited edition of anything ever approved by The Beatles, and the entire collection has been accepted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
